When interviewing someone I always try to determine what makes that person unique. Every single one of us on this planet has something unique to offer the world. What makes you different? Being your most authentic self and taking us inside those moments makes legacy videos fun.
I'll never forget when I did my first legacy interview for my grandma on one Thanksgiving. She was a few glasses of wine in and was excited to share her thoughts and memories. I remember asking her about her first kiss. Her answer was exactly the spitfire energy that I would have expected. She lived life fully each day and could care less about what others thought. She just did what she wanted. When sharing your story, do it your own way.

When filming, do not wear patterns or any clothing that might distract from us listening to your story. Remember great lighting can help you look your best. Make sure to have a fresh face and an outfit that you feel the most confident in. My final note to leave you on, tell the stories that not only offer wisdom but show that life in it's own messy way is beautiful.
